Jusco Japanese Restaurant - A Hidden Sushi Gem in Davis I visited Jusco on a Sunday evening for dinner, opting to dine in and experience their All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) sushi. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, though it carries a bit of a hole-in-the-wall charm. Despite that, it turned out to be a great setting for catching up with family and having an enjoyable conversation over a delicious meal. The staff was patient and accommodating, making the dining experience pleasant even without a reservation. Service was efficient, and I never felt rushed despite ordering multiple rounds of sushi. As for the food, the sushi rolls were incredibly fresh, with a good variety to choose from. The sweet and sour chicken side dish was a standout-- phenomenal. The AYCE option was well worth it, offering great value for the quality and selection available. Overall, Jusco is a solid choice for sushi lovers in Davis, especially if you're looking for a laid-back, casual spot with good food and a welcoming atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend it for those wanting an affordable yet satisfying sushi experience. Rating: 4.5/5

This is the place if you're craving HELLA sushi. Everything we ordered was mouthwatering, except the deep fried roll (personal preference). The fish is fresh and quite generous. I love how they give small portions (3-4 piece rolls) so you can try a bit of everything and nothing goes to waste. The single scoop of matcha ice cream is the perfect portion size for dessert after eating as much sushi as your heart desires. Hole in the wall vibes, but a real gem in Davis.

This place NEVER disappoints when it comes to flavor and quality! In fact, it's so good that I once indulged in dinner here for four consecutive days. My go-to favorites are the Lion King roll and the California hand roll--both are incredibly filling and absolutely delicious. Trust me, you have to experience it for yourself to truly understand the rave reviews! While I can't say for certain, I have a hunch that this is a family-owned business. I often see the same woman expertly crafting the rolls, along with two familiar faces--either a younger guy or an older gentleman--who handle the orders and payments. They're always polite and eager to help with any questions about the menu! Although I've never dined in, I must mention that the restaurant is cozier/smaller than your average sushi spot and can be easy to miss since the entrance is somewhat tucked away. If you're craving some mouthwatering sushi, don't overlook this hidden gem! Give it a try--you won't regret it!

Menu as of Oct '24 for both AYCE and Regular Menu. Such an amazing staff. Love the server, he is great. Go Jermey! :D

I'm pleasantly surprised! The bento box is only $15.50 and the fish is actually pretty fresh here. And BIG slices too. No fishy smell or pre-frozen texture. I also REALLY liked the salad! The vinaigrette was light and coated the greens throughout. Overall, it just seems like a lot of care was put into this meal. Gyoza tastes homemade and if it's not, it's got me fooled. The filling was super tasty and the outside was light and crispy (no thick bready texture). Will definitely order again!
